My name is Hannes Mitterberger; I’m a multidisciplinary, award-winning designer and artist from Austria, currently based in Berlin. My practice combines writing, design and critical thinking. I’m working mainly in the fields of art and culture, influenced by past studies in philosophy, psychology, music, art history, and a humanist dimension to design theory.
I graduated with a MA in Communication Design from FH Joanneum Graz, having studied and lived in Portugal, France, Australia, Austria and Germany. Since then I’ve had the opportunity to work with and for a number of inspiring talents in the fields of art, design and communication.

I both initiate my own projects and I work on assignments, usually in close collaboration with other disciplines. I’m working mainly in the fields of art and culture on projects that are made thoughtfully, with intent, and with care for our planet. I deploy several disciplines, such as graphic and web design, writing and illustration, with a preference for brand and editorial design.
